The Confederation of African Football (CAF) held draws of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Cup on Tuesday evening, August 17, at the Palais de Congres in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The tournament, which features 24 African teams is scheduled to get underway on January 9, 2022 and is set to be concluded on February 6, 2022.
During the star-studded ceremony, defending champions, Algeria were drawn in Group E where they will also face Sierra Leone and Equatorial Guinea.
Nigeria – three-time winners of the competition – were drawn in Group D where they will face Mohamed Salah’s Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau.
